The Nocchione is a cultivar which is especially widespread in the Lazio region but adapts very well to various geographical areas. It is notable for its thick shell, medium-high vigour and average-weight fruits.
Harvesting normally begins in the last 10 days of August and continues until the end of September. Its fruits are large and its average shelling yield is 38-40%.
